Activist.
Public Speaker.
Writer.
I am an activist, public speaker, and writer born with cerebral palsy.
I moved from London to the USA after completing a Masters’ degree in Psychology of Education at University College, London.
Since moving, my work has largely focused on freelance public speaking and writing, with a view to promoting the inclusion of disabled people in intersectional conversations and spaces.
I have facilitated workshops, delivered keynote addresses, and led panels in schools in both the US and UK, at colleges including Columbia University, and for organizations such as Human Rights Watch.
I also hold a certification in Diversity and Inclusion from Cornell University, and provide disability-aware D&I consulting for corporations and non-profits.
Across all of its different disciplines, my work primarily aims to center the voices of disabled people, as well as to start and foster conversations around inclusivity, representation and access.
How does a better, more nuanced understanding of disability help us all? How can we make a world created for able-bodied people by able bodied people a softer landing place for those with disabilities and why is that so vital? How can we make sure the stories we tell represent the underrepresented? Why are disability rights issues fundamental human rights issues? I’d like to shed light on the answers to these questions through education, discussion and storytelling.
